Is there a minimum or maximum group size for Private Dinners?

No. We are comfortable with a romantic dinner for 2 or a corporate luncheon for 500.

Are you flexible on price?

Yes. Since every menu and experience is custom, so is the price. We like to have a conversation with all of our clients to help decide what’s best for them.

Do we need to provide anything?

No. Our Private Dinners are a turn-key experience, complete with table settings, dinnerware, staff, and our own cookware.

Can we use our own dinnerware and table settings?

 Yes. The only thing we insist on is our own plates. Our food is very detailed and artistic, so we are picky about the plates. With that said, show us any plates you may want to use and we can build a dish around it.

Can we suggest menus and specific recipes?

 Yes. We are open to everything and strive to provide exactly what you’re looking for. If you have a specific dish, recipe, or menu you’d like us to create, let us know.

What types of cuisine do you specialize in?

We specialize in Modern International cuisine and cook globally inspired menus. If you’d like an Italian meal with hand made pasta or a traditional Moroccan menu, we’ve got you covered. Don’t forget French, Croatian, Thai, German, Persian, Spanish, American, Japanese, Peruvian, etc...

Can we watch you cook?

Yes. Feel free to poke your head into your own kitchen to watch us plate, sauté, grill and do it all. We can even turn the meal into a professional cooking lesson if you prefer.

How many staff do you bring with you?

Depends. For the most part, a head chef, sous chef, dishwasher and server are standard. For larger groups, we may include additional cooks and service staff.

Are all staff included in the price?

Your head chef, sous chef, and dishwasher are all included. For groups of six or larger, we require a server for $125. For groups larger than twelve, we may require at least two servers.

Do you set up and clean up?

Our Private Dinners are designed with your convenience in mind. We create a beautiful atmosphere in your home, set the table, cook the food and leave you with a spotless kitchen and home.

When does the staff arrive?

We usually plan our staff to arrive two hours before your guests arrive.

Do you add gratuity?

No. We are not like typical restaurants that might add 15% - 20% gratuity.

If you feel compelled to tip our staff for their excellent service, then we greatly appreciate that.

How is this service priced?

This depends on a few things. We have clients that use us once a week, twice a week, daily, or only on weekends. Some have us deliver and others have travel requirements. Others use us as an on-call culinary service...

Each individual, family, and business have different requirements. With everything, we like to have a conversation to see what works best for you.

How often do you show up?

As often as you’d like. From once a week to full-time placement, we’ve got you covered.

Do you provide full-time placement?

Yes. This includes an extensive interview and placement process on our end. Finding a full-time chef for our clients is a detailed process.

Do you travel?

Yes. We have flown out to countless locations so that our clients are taken care of regardless of location.

Do you accommodate special diets and allergies?

Yes. In fact, most of our clients have specific diets and requirements. We are a very detailed culinary service and are capable of dealing with most any diet or food allergies.

Are we covered if our chef becomes ill or goes on vacation?

Yes. In this situation, we rely upon the rest of our team to fill in the gaps.

Do you cook in our home or deliver?

Whichever you prefer.

How specific can we get with our requests?

We handle all things culinary and enjoy any challenges.

Is this service good for children?

Yes. We can pack lunches, puree baby foods, etc. It’s nice knowing that you can keep your children eating consistently healthy with our service. Picky eaters are not a problem.

What does the 20% off apply to for Private Chef Customers?

If you entertain, or even if your business throws events and parties, a 20% discount is deducted from your bill. This has resulted in major savings for our clients and their businesses.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

We understand that things come up…

We Request that you give us the final headcount within 72 hours of your event. Any cancellations within the 72 hours prior to your event may result in the loss of your deposit.

Is there a Deposit?

Private Dinners require a 25% deposit in order to reserve your date in our calendar.

Which Forms of Payment are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards, check, cash, Venmo, Cash App & Bitcoin…

Meet The Executive Chef

Chef Andy is the Executive Chef and Founder of The Private Chefs. He studied at Le Cordon Bleu and has worked in fine dining since 2001, including Michelin-starred restaurants, country clubs, and event companies.
